Whole Ajwain Seed

Whole ajwain seeds, also called carom seeds, are brown in colour. The pungent and bitter-tasting seeds are mainly used whole in Indian kitchens. However, these seeds can be ground into powder to be used as a cooking spice. Antioxidants, vitamins and minerals can be found in this seed spice. Since this spice offers health benefits, it has been a part of traditional Indian medicine for centuries. It looks like fennel and cumin seeds and has a strong thyme-like fragrance.
